        Household & business electronics such as T.V.'s, fax machines, printers, monitors,
        cell phones, microwave ovens and stereo systems  don't belong in Landfills!


   2 Ways to Recycle Electronic Equipment

   Donated it
     - many non-profit groups can use your old equipment when you upgrade
   Recycling it
    - the equipment is disassembled and the components
    --such as plastic, glass, and metals--are recovered and used to manufacture new products.

   ·  Goodwill Industries of Southern California - computer monitors, CPUs, printers, scanners, fax machines

   ·  LA Shares - a non-profit program that takes tax-deductible donations of reusable goods - new & used - from the local business community

   ·  Del Norte Recycling Center: 111 So. Del Norte Blvd., Oxnard.
       televisions, copiers, VCRs, stereos, laptops, cell phones, computers, monitors, scanners, fax machines
      Call 805/278-8200 for details. Residential E- Waste only! Maximum of 3 items per household.

   ·  Gold Coast Recycling Center: 5275 Colt Street, Ventura. Call 805/642-9236 for more information about their program.

   ·  Recycled Goods Warehouse: 6059 Sikorsky, Ventura. Accepts all computer equipment for repair, reuse, or recycling. A small fee is charged for certain monitors.

      They also accept electronic test equipment, medical & scientific equipment, and most office electronics. Call 805/644-3100 for more information.

   ·  Earth 911 - a great source for several options - links to recycling cell phones, computers and other electronic equipment.

   ·  HMRLA - specializes in buying, selling, trading and recycling excess inventory, surplus or obsolete merchandise and end of life computer and electronic equipment
